Sayuki - Before and After by IvyHeartDesigns Sayuki - Before and After by IvyHeartDesigns
Hi there! This is my latest work... Sayuki! She was created using a 11.5 inch vinyl Barbie Basics #5 doll by Mattel. All factory paint was fully removed and she was given a full facial repaint with beautifully soft colouring! I also gave her a handpainted butterfly tattoo on her back. I hope you like her. She is currently for sale via ebay... check my website for the link.... [link]

Thanks for looking! :hug:

I am not affiliated in any way with the Mattel company. I simply use their beautiful dolls as a canvas for my own artistic expression. :)

Awww... thankyou VERY much! :huggle:
Most of my 11 - 12 inch repaints take around 5 hours on average. :) Sayuki took a little longer because of her tattoo work. :)

She's infinitely prettier now! Nice work!

The Barbie Basics dolls are fugly and waaaaay too expensive for being a doll in a little black dress. -__-

Thanks so much!

I know what you mean... I would have to say I'm not really partial to the way they factory paint any of the dolls by Mattel... or even the Tonner dolls either. I hope that by giving them repaints, I can also give them their own unique personality too! :hug:

s'okay!

Yeah. I didn't mind the late 90's, early 2000's, like the Generation Girls barbies, but now. Yeesh. -__-;;
Well, you're doing a great job! Keep up the good work.

Baby Girl, you should be part of Mattel so you can beautify all those ugly face paints of their dolls! In a few days I'll upload my own updated/edited/created/whatever barbiedoll :D Need to find the time to do so.

No, its just the lighting on the Before photo. It was a bit darker. The After photograph is the right skin colour... she's quite pale! :huggle:

Actually, I think you can get them in other skin tones. I guess it depends on the nationality they are portraying. :)
