Leticia was created using a Barbie Basics No8 11.5 inch doll by Mattel. All her factory paint was fully removed and she was given a complete facial repaint using artist acrylics and sealers. I also washed, conditioned and style cut her hair a little shorter with some light layers! I had one hec of a photo session... actually 4 of them... to try and get these pics and I'm still not completely happy with them. We have had awful rainy weather here all week and it reaked havoc on photography!! Darn it!! hahaha... I always have a load of trouble photographing African American skin tones in good weather... let alone miserable stuff! I hope you enjoy them anyway! :) :hug:

I am not affiliated in any way with the Mattel company. I just use their beautiful dolls as a canvas for my own artistic expression! :)

Its so awesome!! I wonder, how do you get so perfectly done her features? I tried to do it but the paint doesnt look soft nor realistic neither... what kind of paint and brushes you used?

Thankyou! :) I actually use Jo Sonja Artist Acrylics and work mostly with 20/0 and 10/0 size brushes! :heart:
