Caprice was created using a 11.5 inch Barbie Basics #5 doll by Mattel. All factory paint was fully removed and she was given a full facial repaint! I also removed all her gorgeous original black hair (it was REALLY hard to do, you know! lol) and gave her a full head reroot in red Katsilk saran with a touch of light blonde mixed throughout for highlights!

I am not affiliated in any way with the Mattel company. I simply use their lovely dolls as a canvas for my own artistic expression! :)

she's gorgeous

is it possible to let your imagination go wild when coming up with ideas, even if one idea is a flame haired asian?

Aww, thats so sweet. Well, I work mostly with the MH girls at the moment but I may work on more of the Barbie Basics in the future. I must admit, they are lovely dolls to repaint! :)

regarding doll hair, could you blend the black saran with blue or purple saran to add a bluish or a purple hue to the hair?

it seems the best headmould is the lea/kayla headmould!
